EMALEE WALKER

Chief Operating Officer

Emalee is the Chief Operating Officer at Young Australians in International Affairs, and is passionate about encouraging and enabling genuine engagement with, and critical thinking about, international affairs.

Emalee holds a Bachelor of Laws/Bachelor of Arts - Psychology, and has deep experience in governance and business organisations. Emalee has also studied in Canada, focusing on international law and global business, as well as having worked across a number of different law firms, including a not-for-profit law firm and is currently in corporate law.

Alongside her corporate experience, Emalee has been involved in a number of publications, including previously having volunteered with Young Australians in International Affairs as an editor on the team. Rejoining the team as COO, Emalee is committed to YAIA’s mission and values, and is passionate about growing the organisation for young people to have a platform to consider human rights issues, and to support future opportunities to make real change.
