NATIONAL CONFERENCE

Our National Conference brings together emerging leaders with Australia's leading policy thinkers and practitioners to think critically about challenges and opportunities facing Australia.

YAIA National Conferences aim to bring together emerging leaders in international relations with Australia's leading policy thinkers and practitioners to think critically about foreign policy and strategic challenges in the 21st century. Our most recent event was held in Canberra between 14-15 September 2023 at the Australian National University Security College.

YAIA is excited to announce our next conference will be held in Melbourne in April 2026 under the theme ‘Diplomacy on the Brink: Navigating Existential Crises in the 21st Century’. Across two days, the conference will draw young leaders in international relations from across the country to engage with a wide range of industry professionals, experts and academics on how Australia can navigate its foreign policy interests in an increasingly complex world. The conference will feature a variety of professional development and networking opportunities alongside workshops, panels and keynote speakers.

More information will be released soon so watch this space and subscribe to the YAIA newsletter and socials for updates on ticket sales. Interested in speaking or participating? Reach out to the YAIA conference team at conference@youngausint.org.au
