NATIONAL CONFERENCE

Our National Conference brings together emerging leaders with Australia's leading policy thinkers and practitioners to think critically about challenges and opportunities facing Australia.

YAIA National Conferences aim to bring together emerging leaders in international relations with Australia's leading policy thinkers and practitioners to think critically about foreign policy and strategic challenges in the 21st century.

YAIA's national conference was held in Melbourne, 16-17 April 2026 at RMIT University, under the theme Diplomacy on the Brink: Navigating Existential Crises in the 21st Century'. Across two days, the conference drew young leaders in international relations from across the country to engage with a wide range of industry professionals, experts and academics on how Australia can navigate its foreign policy interests in an increasingly complex world. The conference featured a variety of professional development and networking opportunities alongside workshops, panels and keynote speakers.

National Conference 2026 was proudly supported by our valued sponsors and partners. We sincerely thank them for their generosity and commitment to YAIA's mission.
