FUTURE LEADERS SERIES APPLICATIONS

Applications for the 2026 Future Leaders Series are now open!

This year’s topic is Digital Policy and Diplomacy.

As our world is rapidly becoming increasingly digital, digital diplomacy is now a crucial part of how nations address global challenges and influence one another. This program will explore the foundations of digital diplomacy, digital economics, and the use of technology and growth in AI in shaping the global digital environment.

The Future Leaders Series is our digital flagship program designed to engage Australia's future leaders in the critical issues affecting Australia, and the international diplomatic system. It equips them with the knowledge, skills and networks to respond to these challenges and shape future policy decisions.

Applications will close at 11:59PM AEST on Friday 29th of May 2026

Participants must be a later year undergraduate or postgraduate student, and/or an early career professional interested in the series topic. You must also be an Australian citizen or permanent resident (however you may be based overseas).

Please note, there is a Participation Fee. However, if you are experiencing any extenuating circumstances which may prevent you from paying this fee, equity funding is available and can be discussed if your application is successful.
